The coloured RiC's are so different from the white and equally lovely.
I decided in the end not to do these, but I have enjoyed watching them being stitched and displayed here.
What will you do next I wonder?

They are absolutely gorgeous Mabel. I feel a bit like Richard in knowing I cannot match your skills but so love seeing them. They are so very beautiful

Re: 2016 Round in Circles Hardanger SAL
Here is a slightly bigger pic of my final SAL stitch. Now all I need to do is turn them into 24 cards....
The second blog post is now up, and it shows you how to use a piece of metallic card instead of kid leather. Here are both methods together, although it's rather difficult to show the different effects because it's hard to get the shine right in a photograph!
The one on the left is silver kid over two layers of felt, the one on the right is silver card.

What a rigmarole PB is this morning. Full page adds, won't let me log in - even though it usually does it automatically etc etc etc. So I will try and get November's SAL up later today. In the meantime Mabel I have emailed it to you with thread details.

Re: 2016 Round in Circles Hardanger SAL
OK here we go having finally got all pics onto PB - a long slow job for sure.
Here is the November SAL.
This is the December SAL.
and here are the 2 cards from it.
I enjoyed doing both of them in spite of the rush and the problems with the silk ribbon which did not want to lie flat a couple of times but I got them done. The Dec one was easy to stitch - once I had the placements worked out and I definitely the X bars.
THANK YOU SO MUCH MABEL for a Wonderful Year of Challenges. you are definitely a

Not in Sally's league, but here are three cards going to America (strike permitting). Mabel, if you want to capture these for your gallery of finishes, be my guest.

Definitely one (or rather three) for the Gallery! Don't they come out well in their white surroundings.

Thanks. For the record, the cards aren't a flat white, they are pearlescent, so extending the theme a bit.Mabel Figworthy wrote:Definitely one (or rather three) for the Gallery! Don't they come out well in their white surroundings.

I still like your square ones better -- never thought of that, but they fit the circle better. Next time!
