HAED WIP-Dream of Summer_Updated 11/27/2016

Post by sephire »

June 1st marks the beginning of the summer time. Although the weather in southern California this year is unseasonably cool, BBQ party on the Memorial Day Weekend still reminded me that it’s the season! I decided to work on another HAED rotation – Dream of Summer by Lee Bogle.

This is the design:
Image

This is a project I started a few years back after falling in love with the warm color and the beautiful flowers. I do not stitch the white background, which saves me about 1/3 of all the stitching. Fabric I am using is 28 CT opalescent white Lugana, with 2 strand tent stitch. Here is what I have done so far:
First Row:

Second Row:

Third Row:

The goal is to finish the 4th row, then go back to World Travel Bookshelf.

That's how it should be done. Gorgeous picture, gorgeous shading & good conversion to a chart. Then topped off by perfect stitching.

Oh my goodness. That's so fast and so good.
And that fabric would drive me potty. The horizontal weave isn't very straight or even - in fact it's a nightmare. You have my admiration getting that far and so fast.

Your stitching is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your update. I always say, you can never post too many progress pictures. I love to see what everyone is working on.

Another page update.
I had been on vocation the past 2 week, so I put a lot of time in to stitching. Coming next Monday, when the busy working start again, the progress will surely slow done……

I really have no idea how you stitch so fast - suspect I'm in danger of repeating myself here! During the time you have stitched up 2 pages, I have managed possibly 700 stitches, and thought I was whizzing along.

It is looking stunning. You are obviously a master at this, what can I say other than 'Utterly remarkable'?

Thank you Richard for your forever kind word  .
Like I said, I had been on vocation the past 2 weeks and kinda in a stitching streak. Average 4 to 5 hours a day stitching is got to make a dent :D

Best!

This piece is so stunning! I love, love, love the colors in this project.

I'm with Richard, I don't know how you stitch so fast. But I'm glad that you do, because that means more progress pictures. :D

Thank you for sharing your pictures!
