Everything is so perfect and beautifully stitched! I love the leaf and bird, as well as the little elephant. :D

They are all pretty & the tag elephant is so small & cute. I remember you saying you liked doing miniature designs. Thanks for sharing :applesauce: :applesauce:

Have you every embellished clothing at all? I was watching an Andre Rieu programme on TV the other day & thought of you as the pianist in his Johann Strauss Orchestra wore a pretty yellow ball gown with an exquisite design on the bodice front & back. Made me wonder if you had delved into that side of embroidery, beading etc.

Good luck with the show. I am sure you will have a great time with your classes :D

The only thing I've ever done in the way of decorating clothing was disguising a small hole in a favourite top by turning it into the centre of a flower - the Andre Rieu costumes are definitely beyond me!

Finished the last of the Elephant variations - I call these the Bookend Elephants, and will try and finish them as a bookmark, but a friend suggested they'd also look rather sweet on bed linen for a child's bedroom, which I hadn't thought of.
The threads are Cariie's Creations stranded cotton.

Nice bookmark.
But a bookmark with one of those [David Shepherd?] images on it would be absolutely stupendous.

Richard

Richard, the artist is a Dutch painter and illustrator called Rien Poortvliet, and these images come from his book about Noah's Ark. Abroad he was best known for his books about Gnomes (Kabouters in Dutch). I have almost all of his books and love them to bits.

Some years ago (a bit of research tells me it was 2008/2009 - yikes!) we had a number of ATC exchanges here on the Forum; I took part in about five, and for one of them I designed two cats with a paw print border:

More recently, as they were based on an original line drawing, I thought they might work as a freestyle design as well. And here they are:
