It's taken a few unpickings and restitchings, but I am now fairly happy with my sprig of rosemary

I've had too many occasions to stitch this little project in the past year :-( - this time it is for our neighbours, whose son died very unexpectedly of an ear infection at the age of 47.

How difficult it must be for your neighbours Mabel but I am sure your lovely card will bring some beauty and comfort to them. It is indeed a most useful little design for sure.

Oh my word, what a beautiful piece, how do you do it Mabel, just thinking up these designs? Great to be able to do that. It is just beautiful. Another one to add to your album :) :applesauce: :applesauce:

Edited... PS Just started watching a recording I took of the programme about the Girl with the Pearl Earring. Such a beautiful masterpiece.

Well, as I said in the Stash & Grab about this pair, sometimes they take two-and-a-half years :-D. Also sometimes they seem brilliant when I wake up with the idea in the middle of the night, but in the morning they turn out to be distinctly less impressive. On the whole I just go with whatever pops into my head and see if it'll lead somewhere - it really is quite random I'm afraid (unless I sit down to design for a specific purpose, like a wedding or a workshop or the SAL, then I'm a bit more organised)

That is so elegant and gorgeous Mabel, a fitting end to a lovely collection of designs - or maybe just another long pause?.

They make a pretty pair, but also I think that they will make wonderful cards for those times when you have to send a sympathy message. :applesauce:
