Lexi is a she, and she *would* have been on top of the box if it hadn't been for a black & white neighbouring cat sitting in a tree in our garden :-). Having spotted the invader, Lexi decided to very bravely stare at him from behind the glass.

Remember the Christmas Wreath? It was originally designed on counted fabric, with the foundation stitches counted and the rest not - hoping that this would make it easier for people who came from counted techniques like cross stitch. But it would of course work equally well on non-counted fabric, if I drew a transfer pattern.

Well, I did (and it took a lot longer than I thought!), and then printed it at two sizes, one roughly the same size as the counted original, and one at 2/3 the size. I worked the larger one in perle #3 and #5 like the original, and the smaller in perle #5 and #8. I also had to use petite beads rather than standard seed beads, and instead of the 3mm ribbon I made a cord from perle #5 (which turned out too thick, and the bow too big - room for improvement!)

Anyway, here they are: the outer diameter of the foundation circle of the larger is 4.5cm, the smaller is 3cm.

These are lovely Mabel. I especially like the larger one but having a choice of sizes for this design is great idea. Another of your wonderful ideas. :applesauce:

Having great fun with designing a goldwork parasol and umbrella pair :-) - but until it materialises, I'm doing a bit more appliqué. Here is a coffee/tea mug in progress; this is the size I originally designed it at, but I will also do a smaller one, as this one would need an outsized card to mount it in, and that makes it less useful for a workshop.

Pretty mug! The smaller mug will be great as a card, as it will suit any occasion. :D

Right, here's the first mug finished - this is the larger version. The next one will be a little smaller, not much, just to make it fit into a card. This one is about 7.5cm square.

Very cute, Mabel. Is that herringbone stitch in the mug handle? (Might be chevron, but I don't think so.) Clever of you to track the herringbone inside almost perfectly with the variegated colour thread of the outside of the handle.)
