This is just beautiful!! I love the colors, and all of the details are really incredible.

I was just poking around the Scarlet Quince website and was realllly tempted to pick up another clockwork-based pattern:



I don't really have a taste for modern art, so this one would really stand out in my apartment, but I do love looking at geometric patterns, so I'm debating getting it anyway.

So , 'it's about time' to post an update on this one. I took 5 months off to work only on my Bridal Bouquet, and I missed this one so much. I now have the lower 2 rows of pages done, 12 out of 42 pages. I hope to keep this in a 3 project rotation, at least for a while, and really get more done.
My other plan is to start my approved summer vacation May 23-Sept 2, and then retire on Sept 3. I hope to get even more stitching done then.

I was wondering if this would ever re-appear. So glad it has, and hope you have more time to look at it.

As for retiring - I doubt if you'll get the time you expect. People always think retired people have nothing to do and are always arranging to fill up the time. My F-I-L always wondered how he ever found time to go to work after he retired. There was just so much to be done.

Amazing update!! I love the detail on this and am so glad to see it! I agree with Richard's FIL. I think the people who are bored during retirement are people without a lot of interests. Seems like every day when I think I can spend the day stitching, I have something to do. I can't remember the last time I was bored and also wonder how I ever had time to work.

I've just read that this design has 42 PAGES!!!! I could never stick to doing something so large and detailed.
Brave Girl to stitch this! It's magnificent and so detailed. What an amazing piece!
