Beautiful work! Love how some threads get used up so quickly compared to others. I'm sure I have some over 15 years old that are still on the same old bobbin.

I'm glad! This had been a huge labor of love and frustration. I'm taking a break now as I work on something from Northern Expressions.Starlet83 wrote:I'm thinking of doing a boys blanket like this - thanks for the inspiration!

Wow this has been a long time in updating. I've fixed photos in the thread from K and onward. Last time I believe I left off on R back in 2017 (yikes). Here's a small thumbnail peek at the rest of the letters since R, also a link to the whole album, and the finish.
The entire album: https://postimg.cc/gallery/zytQH3W
The top right and bottom left corners were hard for me to decide on for a long time, after a lot of emotional up and downs and not really wanting to commit the blanket in name to a person, or to a date (I wanted it somewhat "anonymous" so to speak). I decided on two month birth flowers- March and April, Daffodils and Daisies. Those are the months my grandparents are born in, which made it sentimental, but not "married" per say to a name, so the afghan could potentially be passed around. I free-handed the Daffodil off of a picture, and bought the Daisy pattern and altered it to fit the block, and added back stitching to both to match the Alphabet's design.
The fringe which I did by hand after several good suggestions from here:
And the final piece:

That looks so good and is so well shown off by the fringe. Superb finish, well done.
