Stamp Collecting

Post by coffee_freak »

Ok I stumbled across a great site that has freebies..
stamps!

http://lesgrillesdethiarlou.over-blog.com/

I was thinking..anyone who wants to join in..no sign up sheet or anything..
Just to SAL with me. I'd LOVE to stitch these and put them in their own book mounted just like stamps!
we can start at the very oldest page she has put up and stitch them one by one..
I'm going to start on them and post progress so anyone else is free to join in with me!
these look quick and easy..an in between project that will collect into something big over time..
I'm starting on this page with the horse:

What a good idea, C_F!
I don't want to promise anything (look at my list of to do-s), but I may be tempted onthe way :-)

i think this will be a great way to use scraps of fabbie i've been stashing..lol
and I don't think i'll backstitch her name and the year..
and what I will do is fold under the edges and add a spot of glue to the back..and then glue to heavy cardstock..

Sounds a very good idea or you could make them in to cloth books. I know I have seen a site that tells you how to dothem just have to remember which one it was. I have a very bad memory always have. Gets me in trouble once in a while too.
If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror

I'l be watching your progress avidly, but with all the WIPs and To Dos stacked up I don't think I'll be able to join in. Lovely site though -- thanks! and good luck with the project.
