Looking great, Rose -- shame it's almost impossible to get the effects of those special threads in a photograph, isn't it? I suppose like plays, you can say of photographs that 'the best are but shadows; and the worst are no worse, if imagination amend them', so we'll let our imagination add the different kinds of purple!

I love purple ... sparkly purple looks amazing. It looks great as a Tigger frame Rose. You are well steaming ahead there though ... there must be sparks coming off that needle!

I feel this is a perfect finish. I added a few stickers to the matting and "WHA-LAA"

Yup, I'll agree with that! Totally perfect Rose.
When are you giving it to your daughter? I'm sure she's going to LOVE this.

That's such a great (and quick -- my word how do you do it?) finish, it looks perfect!

Do you keep a stack of frames just in case? And do you cut your own mats? (And if so what do you use? and is it difficult?)

No Mabel I don't have the extra cash to keep frames on hand and I would never know what size to have. This frame I picked up on the way home with my daughter the other day. I told her I had a 5X7 picture I needed to frame and would she help me pick out a nice frame. She chose this one and the mat was already in it. I thought it was a bit dull so I added the stickers.

I am going to give it to her just before we leave to take her back to school. She had a 3 day week-end this time.

Your daughter should be really proud of her mother! This is simply gorgeous!
