Card .... hopefully!
So I finished Mr Dolphin, and I have to wait for some threads before I can start my next project, so I decided to make my son a card for his piano exam ... hoping of course, that he's passed.
This is going to be another of those 'throw it together and hope it comes out looking as if it were all planned out' projects.
So of course, a piano might be a good place to start.
Starting with a piano
Lets hope it all works out!!

I'll keep watching with interest

Thanks both! Yep, I was hoping to get some notes in there as well, I have some metallic threads and thought the notes might look good in them?
(Any excuse to use them )
I have done the piano, but it has light grey and dark grey in it as well as the black, and I think the dark grey is too light, so I might take that out and put a darker one in instead. I thought the darker grey I had looked too close to black, but now I think it might blend in better.
Ok, will go try ... next update picture tonight hopefully.

Piano now done, except the pedals need to be done in gold.
Now off to think about adding some musical notes.
He is out at a quiz with friends, so I am making the most of him not being here.

Aww, thank you Rose. I have a vague idea in my mind of what I want, then I just either look for patterns to suit or I either make up or adjust a pattern as I go along.
I'm just uploading the new picture as I type, so I will add it to here.
I was going to put a border around it, but I think that might overdo it a bit.
So I plan to use red card as first off it's his favourite colour but then also, I think the red will brighten up all the black in this design.
It's actually alot shinier than the pictures show, but you get the general idea.
I am now sitting here sitching again as I decided while I'm at it I'll make a card for my friends who have just become first time Grandparents.
So I'll show the progress on that later.
For now here is the piano exam one ...

Thank you all so much
I will post another picture once I get it made up into a card properly.
At the moment I am between putting it into an open aperture, or whether to try fraying it (never done that before) and sticking it onto the red card with double sided sticky tape.
Anyone any opinions?
Will post the new card I'm working on later as well. The Grandparents one.
Getting alot of stitching time while he little one is ill as he likes me right with him, so I sit with my stitching in hand, apart from when I'm reading Brer rabbit of course! hehe.
