Serinde's HAED Christmas Fairy update 2 Sept

Post by Serinde »

Not my usual style at all, and this has been stitched by other members, although not, I think, as an HAED, except by Parksfarm. Well, here we go!

This is what I have so far...

And this is what I have to do...

Had to look at Parksfarm's to see which it was, as searching for "Christmas Fairy" on the HAED site brought up several but none of them designs I could see you stitching :-)! This one is very elegant. What fabric are you working on, your favourite Lugana?

HAED retired this not long after I acquired it. I'm sure there's no connection. 8) Gold Dimensions markets it as Woodland Enchantress, which several members have stitched.

I'm actually stitching it on linen (Dublin), 2 threads over 1, and cross-stitching. I'd originally thought I'd use tent, but once I actually started, it was clear that crossing was best for linen, for me, anyway. (I plan to use lugana for Gandalf, however!)

This is a beautiful design and you have made a great start. :applesauce: I am looking forward to your posting updates. Is the Gandalf you are doing an HAED? There are a few I have looked at, in case I ever finish my LOTR.

Great start Serinde! Hope you make better progress than I have... I haven't stitched on mine for quite awhile, although seeing your post did make her start screaming at me, lol... :)

Well, it's taken a year  but here's an update! Pages 1 and 2; and 9. Just starting pg 10. Why I'm working it like this is a mystery. Hoping to finish the tree, I think!
