Like I mentioned in another post, I haven't had much time for stitching in the last year and a half. I have been working on this one in the car when we go out of town and occasionally take it to work on at lunch because of the big blocks of color. The first picture is a close up of the work so far. This is four pages across in the first row. The second picture shows how much more I have to do to get to the end of the first row.

I'll post a message shortly of why I've been MIA for so long. I have been slowly working on the eagle when we are traveling or while in waiting rooms while family members are being seen. I was actually at the eye doctor with my husband last week, and I had two women ask to see my stitching and had several questions. Both of them were stitchers, and they hadn't heard of marking the fabric or q-snaps. We'll see how much I get done on it this year.

Very nice, but it must be a bit frustrating to have so much real life interfere with your stitching.

Lovely update!! Glad to see this one again. I hadn't heard of Q-snaps or Gridding or a host of other things until I joined the forum. Would be interesting to see if either one has tried q-snaps. Gridding would be a scary thing to try without support. At least it would have been for me. Can't imagine stitching BAPs without it now.

I know I haven't been around much the last few years. I didn't realize that it's been almost 2 years since I had a decent update on this one. Between teaching and family, I really do not have time to stitch any more. I'm lucky to get a few hours a month.

Since I know I need to stitch in order to help keep my sanity, I've been joining the challenges on the HAED board. The one that just finished, the challenge was to stitch a page using the parking method. Definitely not a method I liked using. It turned out that the page I chose to work on had the eagle's head on it. I guess he'll keep an eye on me as I'm working on the rest of it.

Beautiful!! I participated in the last HAED challenge on the BB and enjoyed it, but opted out of the parking one. Is it time for another one already? I'll have to go check it out. I love the Eagle!!! You have done a fantastic job! And it is soooo good to hear from you again. Glad to hear that you are busy and doing well and are a very busy bee (bad pun, I know, but I couldn't resiste
