It all depends on the magazine Angel.
Stitchy ones, I collect Mary Hickmott's, but tend to only keep others such as Cross Stitcher, or World of Cross Stitch if I find something that I may use for my Granddaughter, like Britty Kitty or Somebunny.
Now as for old comics etc I have some Bunty and The Beno from 1981 in the attic, and I have been known to buy old annuals and childrens books from ebay, my latest find was a Twizzle one from 1960.
Enough to give a child nightmares, but I used to love him and his Cat, Footso. Torchy was another fav :D

I have a huge box of magazines to sort through on teusday *headdesk* my moms got sick of waiting for her boxs back, she's comming to help me unpack.... I had best get the cookies in so she can unpack and I can skive off to pretend to go to the shop for cookies while just laying down some more :P

WO pressed fairys! Awesomness! I have too many books of fairies, it's beyond belief, our jayms keeps buying them for me, I don't know who's more fascinated, me or my cousins :P

I also found the original Magic Faraway Tree books from the 50/60's with the original drawings, and before the PC brigade got upset with the name of one of the little girls and some of the storylines
You should show Jayms the Pressed Fairy book, he may get that one for you

The magic faraway tree? That sounds so familiar! I'm sure my gramma has those books from when dad and my aunts were kids.

Oh that's looking great Angel! You're so nearly at the end. I love that picture, it's going to look gorgeous hanging up.

We are big Enid Blyton fans here, have bookcases of her books and the Faraway tree set and the wishing chair are among our favourites.

That is really looking great. I wish I had the time you do to sit and stitch. I got started this week end but not very far. I will try to get a picture up tonight when I get home. Work is calling.

You are doing well, Angel!! I love the Gold. It really adds style to the piece. :D :D

I was asking my daughter if she still had any books left from her childhood for her children and she has! I'm amazed she's kept them so nicely too. Some of them were mine when I was a child. The First Sooty annual for instance!! Tatty and well read but still surviving!
