Connie's SAL 2

Post by ConnieO »

Well, now that the Somebunny is done, I've got Woodland Enchantress on the frame and the first stitches have been added. I know I'm going to have to work hard with this one. The threads came in 4 bundles (not pre-sorted! ) and the first stitches were blended colours. I wonder how long it will take me???

Connie, I am really anxious to see how you go with this, as I have exactly the same kit and really want to start it....along with the thousands of other kits and designs that I have to do :(

That looks like a good challenge, I am a great fan of the Dimensions range,I am working on Sacred Connection now.
You and Whiskers should have a 'stitch together'

I read your post on my blog Connie, it's really cool to find other people stitching the same design. I'd really like to see an updated version of yours. It sounds like this is a very popular kit, i know i'm certainly enjoying it.

Sorry Connie, I seem to have somehow missed this thread

It is a lovely picture and your progress is looking good.

I would love to do something like this but it is far too big for me to tackle :? I just never would get it done

I looked it up, Connie, and it's gonna be really beautiful! Good luck with it.
I love the colours - it's a winter picture still it gives a kind of warm feeling if you look at it.

Ooh you've gone a completely different direction to me! It's really interesting to see how people do designs differently. It's looking really good.

I am in awe of all the fabulous designs you more experienced stitchers tackle, this one looks brilliant and I am eagerly following your progress on it.

I know, I think that's so cool! What a boring place the world would be if we were all the same. Perhaps we'll meet each other in the middle?

When I get around to starting mine, I intend to begin in the top left-hand corner. Lots dark colours followed by acres of Kreinik 032 fine braid, to judge by my symbols.

I've gone to the far edge on the left now. I'm thinking of going up from there and then coming back to the middle. The stitches are a mixture of half and full cross in varying numbers of threads (3-5) giving it a very textured look and feel and I'm thinking that as the background is largely half-cross, the full cross might stand out a bit more if I do that bit afterwards. It will also mean that I can roll the frame so that she will be right in the centre for adding the beads and braid etc.

What do you think?
