Midge's version of TW's Peacock Tapestry - Update 11/10/17!

Post by Midge »

Since this year is my year of the UFO, I dug out this one and decided to give it another go. It is full of blended threads and I have now remembered why I packed in last time but I have managed quite a bit of work on it and as you will see, there is some of the peacock starting to appear.
Where I picked up :-

And where I have got to :-

It is consigned back to the drawer as the next part of Castles in the Air is due out any day and I really want to stay on course with that.

Blended threads... been awhile since I've done them... They can be a headache, but so beautiful at the same time... Hopefully this won't stay in the drawer for too long :)

You've made great progress already Midge, considering all the blended threads. It's going to be really beautiful and I think once you get a good portion done and are working on the peacock, you'll just want to keep going to see the fininshed result!

I'm going to watch this one, it's gorgeous!

That's a very pretty design Midge, which I also have, but the backstitches stopped me from starting this one.

I've left a comment on your blogpost on this, but for some reason, I cannot find it anymore.

Anyway, I can't wait to see your finish on this Midge :)

Bloomin' 'ek! Didn't realise it had been 5 1/2 years since I last worked on this one. How time flies!
Just dug it out of my cupboard ready for UFO week starting.
I'll post a pic in a little while.
