I'm sure you will tame your UFOs and WIPs before you know it.

Hi Everyone

I'm doing some research on UFO's stitchers have and I'm curious about whether there's a market in stitchers paying someone or a team of people to finish some of their UFO's?

Cheers

Hi there and welcome to the forum.

This topic comes up regularly (the usual answer is "probably not, because no one is willing to really pay for the time it takes" and variations on that). However, do a search in the topics and you will probably find some useful tips.

I'd also suggest starting a new thread with this question in the Tips section perhaps, for replies -- you'll probably get more of discussion going there. That will leave this thread for UFO finishing. :D

Hi Serinde

Thank you for your reply. I'll definitely try the Tips section of the cross-stitch forum site and see how I go!

Cheers

I forgot to post last month's progress. Thought I'd post this month's, but Photobucket isn't working at present. Any suggestions for something else to use instead?

I've used Pinterest in the past but I believe Imgur is getting more popular since PB is getting worse.

In my case a UFO means Unlikely-to-be-Finished Object

I've stitched up a storm recently, but I can't show one single stitch.
Why?
Because all my stitching is a surprise for the targets.
I still have some stitching to do. I sure hope I will manage to stitch the small item and knit another small item. Then I just print the letter and slip it in the envelope and then Postman Pat has some work to do.

Oh yes, I have 3 WIP's, but I can't show any of them.
1 of them is a wedding anniversary surprise.
1 of them is a thank you for everything - kind of surprise.
1 is too big to show you, be it I could show it to you through my scanner.

Ok the last post was 9/6/2018 and before the in 2017 so I am resurrecting it. I know it is 9/14 but I am back after 5 years so I think it’s ok to be a little late to start on my UFO an here it is

I love the colour-coordinated knobs on your frame :-) - and yes, I think you are perfectly OK doing aUFO any time of the month after such a long interval: just happy to be stitching again!

Love the pink knobs, they make adaptations more pretty rather than just functional, well done to the person who did the adaptation.

It really doesn't matter how long a UFO was a UFO, the main thing is you are enjoying stitching again and it looks a lovely colouful project too.

Well done you :whoop:

What a nifty little frame that is. Well Done "uncle-in-law" for finding a way to fix it.

Love the colour scheme and look forward to seeing more of it as you progress. :applesauce: :applesauce:
