Great work on Titanic :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

I know I said I will do some ufo-work but I didn't. I have some excuses, though  First, my boyfriend was here until the 6th, and somehow I didn't get much stitching done with him here :shifty: :shifty: , then I realised I only have 2 weeks until Christmas and started some frantic knitting. I want to knit him something for Christmas. Then I had to go back to work, which was hard with me being not really well yet, and now suddenly the knitting became even more urgent because I have to finish it by the 20th. He bought me a ticket to Sweden!!!
I hope you forgive me for not UFO-ing this month.

Great work on Titanic! :applesauce:
I have to apologise for not stitching any UFOs for ages. After finishing Peaceable Kingdom after approx 15 years, I was rather chuffed with myself, dug ou another UFO - Jenny the donkey - but then realised I should get my Christmas stitching done. I embroidered a fox for my Mum for Christmas. It's now a rather beautiful cushion, even if I say so myself. I have gone right off long and short stitch though
Anyway, I'll start stitching Jenny as of tomorrow. As a New Year's resolution I will find a way to post pictures of my progress.
Happy New Year to all!
Love Sam xx

I have determined that my UFO week projects this year will be backstitching. That's the part of stitching I hate the most and where projects tend to die for me. I also plan on using UFO week to "unstitch" or rip out some of those bigger errors I've made in projects. So UFO week will be about undesirable stuff for me for a while. But now I've got some motivation to do it where it doesn't take up all my stitching time when I'd rather be doing other stuff.
current project rotation:
Twilight Balloon Flight
The Accolade
Faces of Faery 89
Dad's Flower Pot

Oh that's an excellent idea Pengwenn. I might do that this month to finish off my portable project that has just hit the backstitch stage over Christmas. Would be very nice to complete something so early in 2011.

I agree with you Pengwenn. Backstitching is my greatest enemy. That is also the reason why sometimes I stopped doing a piece.

I started on the first working on my Ladybug bear. It's been sitting there finished for months, just needing the backstitching. I hate backstitching LOL ! I've done a little on it every night and am quite pleased with the progress. I might actually finish this month. :D

Good luck with your much hated backstitch shjordan :D Hope you manage to get it finished. I hate anything with loads of backstitch too - its so boring, thats why I never do Tatty Teddy or Popcorn designs, I would get way too bored with them although they are adorable :)
I was going to join in with this little challenge this month but I really want to work on getting my Henry VIII finished so I can start something new, I will join the challenge next month instead ;)

Good luck with your Henry VIII. ( I have so many books about him, one of these days I'll stitch him up too).
Here is a picture of my bear (if this works right)

I've gotten the head, one arm and the bucket done, hope to finish the rest by the 7th. (This was started before I worried about all the stitches going in the same direction, but I still think it looks good.) :D

Aw that is adorable, I love it! Well done on getting so much backstitching done, just do it a little at a time then it might not seem so boring. I think your Ladybug Bear is looking great so keep up the good work!
I've really enjoyed stitching the Henry VIII, I'll be putting some pics up just as soon as he is finished :)
