rubyviolet's wip

Post by rubyviolet »

this is the crewel project i'm doing at the moment, that i ran out of thread for (but just recently got some more thanks to help on the forum :D ). i had the sun done, but decided i didn't like it and took it out and redid it. the only bad thing about this kit is that the black lines on the fabric don't come off with washing, so some of the cross stitches in the sun i had to make uneven so they would hide the black lines  i still like the pattern too much to throw it away though :D

before i did the sun...

That is really a pretty piece of work I really like Norman Rockwell. They are great pictures. Your work is fabulous.

Oh! Well Done!! :applesauce: :applesauce: Looks fab! I'm so pleased that you were able to get the threads finish this, it's too nice not to. Love the bright colours. I really like this stlye of pattern, they always convey childlike innocence and sweetness.

thanks for the help on getting the thread! and it got here really quickly too, 4-5 days i think! i haven't been able to work on it lately though :( i work at a restaurant and the bosses/ managers are out of town (they went to san diego), so i've been working 12-14 hour days as they left me in charge. that's also why i haven't been that active on the forum for the past week or so

Isn't it maddening when our real life gets in the way of our stitching?? :? :? :D

Into every life a little work must fall. It is a pest, though. Apart from the fact that the cash is handy, I'd never work if I didn't have to. There are so many other things to be doing.

hehe, come sunday i'll have two days off, so if i can just get through until saturday, i'll be all right :D it doesn't seem all that bad though, given i really like my job and the people i work with. it seems more like spending more time than usual with friends than actually working (which helps a lot).

Yes, I can see that would be a real advantage. Anyway, if things in the restaurant are really humming, then the time does truly fly.
