Lori, I'm so sorry.. you're really being put through the ringer at the moment, and life must be so difficult. I can't find the right words to say, but you are in my thoughts and prayers, as well as many of your cross stitch friends, I'm sure.

I'm so sorry to hear about your father, and the other troubles. But families are odd, and it's not unusual for such an occasion to really concentrate the mind on what is important. Your father would have undoubtedly been pleased that you and your sister-in-law are now on speaking terms once more. And when you can bear to think about your father, you will always have your memories of him, as Rose wisely said.

Christmas Present SAL-progress

Post by crossstitchpro »

Hello All,
I'm back home now and trying to back to "normal". My mother is doing better than expected. She got a little dog to keep her company and it was love at first site for both of them. My brother and nephews are very near if she needs anything.
My son-in-law is doing very well and is back to work, but with restrictions on what he can and cannot do. He's an MD resident in TN. The other day he had to deliver a baby sitting down because he's not allowed to bend over. To make things a little more complicated, the mother couldn't speak a word of English. He's learned the neccissary words in Spanish. The baby and mother and doctor are doing fine.

Anyway...back to cross stitching....I haven't had time to do a lot on my Christmas present project, but here's what I have been able to do.

It's in the WIP album, the photo is titled: "page 11".

I cannot thank you all enough for your support during this difficult month.

I am glad to hear you, your mother, and son-in-law are doing well.

Just took a look at your progress. It is looking great!

Keep up the stitching! I find that stitching helps me to relax and de-stress. Hopefully in this difficult time it has helped you.

Welcome back to us Lori! I know it's a cliche, but time is a great healer. I'm glad we could be of some comfort to you.

Hi Lori,

So glad to hear you are back home and trying to establish some control out of your world. The news of your son-in-law sounds very encouraging. As long as he follows doctors orders it sound as if he will be fine. Hopefully he won't over do.

I'm sure your mom and her new companion will be great for each other.

Take some small amount of time to heal each day and remember we are here to listen.

Christmas Present SAL

Yes, stitching is relaxing. I stitched for 3 hours last night and felt much better today. Like I said, I'm trying to get back to my "normal" activities and schedule.

The SAL is coming along well, but since it's almost done, you can plainly see what the design is. I'm having to hide it from my DH. Hope I can surprise him!

Will keep you posted....

Welcome back Lori, I'm really happy that you are starting to get back into your routine again, you really have had a tough few months.

I hope you can finish off the last little bit without your hubby getting wind of what you're stitching, must be quite a challenge!!
