I'm at 8/10 as well. This is the furthest I've ever gotten in a bingo so maybe a bit of luck came with the :chicken:

Here goes for day ten

12...German Langshan

Image
Originating in Germany this breed is a result of cross breeding three other breeds. The Croad Langshan, the Minorca and the Plymouth Rock. The result is a large strong bird which matures early and provides both good meat and large cream eggs. Colours are black, white and blue

17...Malay
Image
This breed actually originates in Asia, most likely in Northern Pakistan and no-one seems to be sure how they got their name :?
Considered a game fowl breed, they are hard feathered with an upright stance, are well muscled and have a large skull.
The breed also has the unfortunate distinction of being popular with more unscrupulous people as being a popular breed for Cock fighting.

none today, still 7/10 . The Malay looks like a tough chicken. A shame that it has been bred for fighting. An ugly sport. Good luck today to those of you who are close now.

Lets see if we can get a winner today folks  I am putting three up today to see if that helps
1...Ancona
Image
Named for the Italian port from which it was first exported. The first birds arrived in Britain in the mid 19th century. The breed is an exceptionally good layer producing 250 to 300 eggs a year. They are black with a 'V' tip on the end of the feather and may have either a rose or a single comb.

4...Belgian Bantam
Image
Also called the Antwerp Bantam, they were first exported to the USA at the beginning of the 20th century. A purely ornamnetal breed they are kept by poultry fanciers as either pets or for show. A small bird , they have a large round jutting breast and are a very friendly breed.

21...Orpington
Image
Named for the town in England where they were first bred. They are excellent layers and also provide very good quality meat.Their large size and soft appearence together with thier rich colour makes a very attractive bird.
