Sarah Kay Update

Post by Ekidna »

Yay! I've finished my Sarah Kay pattern from Cross stitcher 185!

My hubby just came home with the WOXS mag with the yellow Sarah Kay design on so I'm going to dye some evenweave a lilac colour, to match in with the fabric this one is stitched on.

I've also got to get on with an afghan for a baby due in 3 months. My friend and I are doing one each as there's 2 of our friends having babies within a month of each other. She is doing farm animals and I am doing Winnie the Pooh and friends. Just waiting for afghan to arrive in post, any day now!

Also just started my Olga Gostin 'old metal roof house' finally, will post up a pic when there's actually something worth seeing!!

that's so cute! I saw that and was thinking of stitching that too!
i also have bought some lime green dylon dye and wanted to do some scraps of fabric to stitch some random flowers on for cards..
is that the dye you use? I heard it was the best for aida

I havn't tried dying yet, but yes I am going to use Dylon, I've used it for dying lots of other things from feathers to clothes so I trust it. Also I love the colours!!

Have to let us know how your dying goes!

I have painted Aida with dilute watercolour. It works a treat for backgrounds. :)

Wow what a wonderful piece of art. The backgound colors really have set that picture off.
If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror

Thank you Rose!

WW What a good idea! Actually I might give that a go cos I want that type of effect, and unlike dying you can always add colour as you need it.

Will let you know how it goes when I get that far, It feels like I'm getting snowed under a bit with all my projects I've got on the go!!
