No clock is ever wrong on New Year's Morning, WW (said Serinde very seriously... not). Whatever were you doing in bed to be disturbed at such an early hour?? :lol:

Funny thing is, fireworks here are only allowed at public events, so we heard Midnight come when the Mayor let off the 'official' celebrations. These loud bangs quite near our house were not part of that event so that's what made it odd....and woke us! :doh:

Of course, France does things differently... naturally! I was only surprised at how few extra fireworks were being let off around the village here. (And if it's ever posted on YouTube or somewhere, do try to see the Edinburgh Fireworks from last night – they were spectacular!)
