What Have You Stitched in 2017?

Post by Podolyanka »

I was asked earlier today what I had stitched within the year. Sounds simple, but it took quite a few minutes to remember this year's finishes.

Half a "Venice" (large) picture.
Merejka's "Christmas Night"
7 "Hear, See, Speak No Evil" Owls" pictures
2 Easter towels
2 Spas towels
2 tablerunners
a dozen of ornaments on plastic canvas

What have you stitched in 2017?

Lyudmilla that is an awesome amount of stitching you have done this year and I know you have plenty in the 'pipeline' yet to do. Amazing.

I spent most of the year on Angel of the Morning with an occasional small one for a card. Started a Christmas Stocking and had to stop. Not restarted yet.

Mabel, I am taking off my hat to you. I did suspect you are a very busy and extremely organized stitcher and designer, and I was right!
Happy crafting in 2018!

Always looking forward to your new designs,

Lyudmila, as I said many of them are tiny, just an individual leaf or so, equivalent to about a square centimetre of one of Vanessa's projects, if that  - but I do enjoy my small projects.

Wow Mabel!

I have been stitching Suteki and Treasure Hunt Bookshelf for 2017 I've done 3 pages on each, but for 2018 I am putting them away as I want to work on some smaller projects.

This is a lovely thread, Lyudmila, as it reminds me of all the beautiful stitching I saw in the last year.

I finished Belle & Boo for my daughter and the Swallow wedding Sampler. I also stitched a few cards.
Wow, some of the lists are impressive! :applesauce:

You know, I’m not sure I’ve stitched and finished anything at all this year! Although I will finish this wedding card I’m doing at the moment (wedding on 6th!). But I have been doing bits of weaving, so
Baby blanket (peg loom)
Infinity cowl (peg loom again)
Various weaving samples

But I have been working on
Christmas Fairy (HAED)
Winter Wood
Sugar and Lace (Hardanger)

And I’ve done all the prep work for
Tall Year Square etui (Inspirations)

Oh, and then there’s Firebird!

Some beautiful finishes this year from forum member! The only thing I know I finished this year is the "I am my Beloved's" Wedding Sampler for my niece. Did a lot of stitching on Dancing with the Cat and O Kitten Tree and bits and pieces of my HAEDs. Hope to get more done in 2018, and have a few non HAEDs to get to work on which have a chance at getting done.

I completed....nothing.

I should take pictures of my two WIPs before doing any more stitching though. And I think this might be the year Starry Night with TARDIS finally gets finished.
