Threadworx from Sew&so

Post by wendywombat »

 I emailed Sew&so about their diminishing stocks of Threadworx threads. I've been noticing for a while that the selection choices were getting poorer. This was their reply:

"Thank you very much for your email.

Regarding Threadwork threads: We are slowly diminishing stocks for this particular thread. These threads will be end of line and no more stock will be ordered. I do apologise.
"

:tantrum: I love these threads. I can't find another stockist in UK...will keep 'Googling'

Wendy, try West End Embroidery - I've dealt with them before (though not for Threadworx), they are very helpful.

Or there is the London Bead Company - I've not bought from them online, but I have visited their shop in London (I used to have a friend living nearby - very useful :-) ) and they have a lovely collection of threads.

Both are I think a bit more expensive than Sew & So (especially the latter), but at least they're available!

Thanks Mabel. :D

I looked at West end Embroidery and it seemed as if they don't do the Pearl threads...I will email them though to check.

As for the London Bead company...I could get the Pearl threads in #5 and #8 but they wanted to send it Courier!! Again I'll have to email them...£41+ seemed a wee bit excessive for a half dozen threads!!!

Sew&so have a very limited supply of #8 and I couldn't match up with #5 in the colours I wanted!

I have a friend who visits her mother in Florida several times a year. And she actually offers to bring stuff back, so its duty free and bought at US prices. Let me know if you need an intro.

I'm going to the stitching exhibition in Paris with her in February. One of her friends will be bringing stuff over....

Yes I saw that on your link.....thanks, it was the #5's I wanted as I can always use a solid toning pearl in #8.
