I think the first magazine I bought was an issue of Jane Greenoff's Cross Stitch, I stitched 3 designs from it, 2 samplers and a canal boat, all 3 of which I still have and they hang in our kitchen

When I look back at old magazines, they have a lot more pages and therefore, patterns, than they have now.
