Crossstitchforum - A FREE forum for Cross Stitchers

After battling with a project using mainly metallic threads, I am looking forward to starting this one : Rainbow Fairy by Joan Elliott.
I already had it set up a while ago. I love the bright colours.

I am also all kitted up for X-stitching " The Angel Of the Morning" but as it is a "tour de force", I am stitching the fairy first.



First Update:

I have always admired that design of Joan Elliott's but never found the time to do it. You have made a good start on it Helene and I look forward to the future updates of it.

Very nice start!!

That case when a great result is guaranteed. I stitched her duo "Indian Beautiful" and "Indian Brave" which also had beading and they turned out nice. Joan's designs are easy to stitch due to perfect charts. Looking forward to your updates. Happy stitching!

This is my update. I might "branch out" a little before continuing her skirt and work towards her face. I had a good hour, working on this, this afternoon and I enjoyed working with all the colours.

Such pretty colours!

I had some more time this week and enjoyed blissful hours of stitching.
I know, it is very BRIGHT but I am really enjoying it!
The family is coming over for the week-end, so all my stitching will have to go upstairs, so we can eat at the table but it will be good to be together.
