What are you stitching for Christmas?
I want to stitch my Mum and Dad a Christmas card this year so after perusing Google and Pinterest over the last few days/weeks I've printed off this chart and will stitch this for them
What are you all planning on doing?

Christmas!?!
Haven't been on my summer holiday yet!
Don't want to think about the 'C' word, not until it cools off a bit.
Regards
Richard.

LOL Richard! I know me too! Going away in 3 weeks to the Cairngorms with my friend. Was off in June but didn't go anywhere. I do love Christmas and never sure when other people start stitching for it, maybe it is too early xxx

Re: What are you stitching for Christmas?
Haven't actually stitched them yet Nicola. Bought WOXS as it has 3 cute kitten Xmas cards with magazine. Will do them later on in a couple of months time. I know 3 people who would love them as they are cat lovers.

Not really given it much thought although I have restarted the Stocking I am doing for GGD. However it is 1 Sept and that is often the trigger which starts me thinking about what I am going to do - if anything.

Hopefully if the fabric comes fast enough, I'm going to try to do this for Christmas!

Lovely ideas everyone, but in the good old Dutch tradition I'm trying not to think of Christmas until St Nicholas has been and gone

Re: What are you stitching for Christmas?
Summer holiday? Have not heard of mine since 2008. Thank you for reminding me,- need to give it a thought.
As for Christmas designs, one picture you saw in my WIPs. It is now in Norfolk, in good hands. I am stitching the puppies from that set of 6 x4 pets, as I still have not found those 4 lots ('hidden" or "put in their place") stitchings.
I now stitch cards only for my daughter. She really values them.

Re: What are you stitching for Christmas?
I try not to think about Christmas too much until after the end of November and its cascade of birthdays... However, the branch of the EG that I attend have a Christmas Sales Table at the Nov meeting... argh! Here's a confession: I get most of my seasonal stitching done after Christmas and in January, when I have time and am still in the mood... It's such a pity that, following the changes in the Royal Mail, sending stitched cards overseas is almost prohibitively expensive.

Re: What are you stitching for Christmas?
What a great idea! After all, stitched cards and gifts don't "go off". (I did once start stitching cards in March so I needed to do only 3 or 4 a month )Serinde wrote:I get most of my seasonal stitching done after Christmas and in January, when I have time and am still in the mood...

Re: What are you stitching for Christmas?
I LOVE Christmas stitching, even more that stitching anything else. That's why I don't limit myself to stitching christmassy things only in the season, but often start way early.
This year, I already finished my Toy Shoppe by Dimensions, but I have a few other plans. I will try and complete the Mystery Christmas Design by jurapointdecroix. It'll be quite a big project, my linen is in 35x70cm, but it's going to be a lot of fun, I think.

I decided not to do a SAL for Shades of Blue, working 50 hours a week, it's more convenient to do Instagram updates.
