The light of the world

Post by vanessanjf »

I bought this HAED last year and it keeps calling me to start it. I went to St.Pauls cathedral yesterday and saw the version there. It was so beautiful that I don't think I can resist much longer. I am hoping that you will all either talk me into or out of starting it :D

That is going to take a long time to do but it will be well worth it in the end. But what is time for someone so young and beautiful!!!

As it is you Vanessa I would start it, considering the speedy progress you make with all your wips you'll have it done in no time :)

Plus it's so gorgeous how can you resist!

The first thing that came to mind was "Resistance is futile" and took me a while to realize that it is from "Star Trek: Next Generation". But I think the sentiment still applies.

Completely cracked..
To even contemplate doing it as well as the Adoration of the Kings at the same time.
As I said, completely cracked. But if anyone can do it, you can.

All the best,

Richard.

I love that picture. M mum had it in a prayer book of hers & it's always been a favourite of mine. One I thought of stitching it but realise it is too dark for me.

I would like to see you stitch it though as your other work is wonderfully stitched. All the angel s & cherubs so exquisitely worked.

I know your stitching will be beautiful. Being a HaED, I hope the chart is up to it and doesn't disappoint.

Hadn't thought about that.
There are lots of dark areas, and they can be a bit dodgy in dark areas with loss of detail. How recent is the chart? My feeling is ones under 3 years old are less suspect than older ones. Failing that, there is freebie software you could use to chart it with a few hundred blends and it could slow you down a bit so the rest of us feel a little less inadequate. :-)

Regards

Richard.

The chart is a year old so hopefully it will be ok. I just started it last night so not much to see yet. I will post when I have more to show.
