BE ENCOURAGED - A STORY

Post by Squirrel »

Those of us with a large stash should be especially encouraged by this little story.

I go to an embroidery group twice a month and I know there are quite a few young ones there as well as a large group of us in our 80's and 5 in their 90's. Last Tuesday there was quite a spread for morning tea and it turns out is was "LittleJoan's" birthday. She was - wait for it - 99!!!!! Yes you read right 99 and still doing beautiful embroidery. She hand paints the picture onto fine linen and then embroiders over parts of it.

So there is hope for us to use all our stash up yet.:)

Her stitching keeps her young! There is a saying :" We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing"

Well done, Little Joan! :applesauce:

Thank you, Sally. It is an inspirational story indeed. :D
