magnifiers

Post by Sarakin621 »

Hello everyone:
I have been working on 14 ct projects, and want to work 22 ct and smaller. I was wondering if you have a "favorite' magnifier you use for the small stuff. I have a floor style magnifier with LED lights. What do you use?

Thanks-
Sara

I have the one that goes around your neck and rests on your chest. It works fine. But I also find cheaters/reading glasses work just as well as long as I have good lighting. I use +2.00 or +2.50 to stitch but only need +1.50 or +1.75 to read - so I have A LOT of reading glasses stashed all over (stitching bag, sewing room, purse, car, coffee table, kitchen..... )

I have the floor style LED with a magnifier too and I love it. It also has a bendable arm so I can position it exactly in the right spot, wherever that spot is.

I use one of these super fashion accessories: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Headband-Head ... 1399498243
Works well for an hour, then I need a break.

I use the Daylight LED Floor\Table Mag Light I also have one that I bought at either Hobby Lobby or Michael's which hangs around your neck and has several different lenses. I use it when I travel, but don't like it half as much as the floor lamp I use at home.
