So excited!

Post by Clairabell »

Yesterday I ordered a job lot of 100 threads, and 100 plastic bobbins (you know, the flat type that you can write on).. Now all I can think about is the satisfying feeling I will have adding the threads to the bobbins, and organising them in to some sort of order.

Does anyone have these feelings?

I have a week off in 2 weeks for Spring Bank Holiday (UK) - I am hoping everything will be here by then, so that I can have a day maybe watching Twilight or Harry Potter, and winding bobbins. :) :) Its the simplest things in life that keep us happy. :D

The next best thing to actually stitching is gathering or getting the stash needed. Have a wonderful time!!!

Yes I agree it is wonderful to know a big bunch of thread stash is on its way and what a fabulous way to spend a day. Enjoy all of it. Simple pleasures often bring the most joy.

I like winding because I get to be anal retentive about it. My favorite feeling comes when I'm organizing everything. Give me 100 skeins and I'll go to town on it!

However I'm apparently always running out of movies/tv series to watch because I watch so much!

:whoop: to have the threads coming - you'll be over the moon when they arrive. Good luck with the winding as it is not my favourite part of cross stitching :)

LOL I had that experience a couple of years ago. My sons gave me the floss wooden draw organizer from Herrchners (sp?). I sat there for hours putting together and organizing my floss. I was so sore, afterwards. It took so much longer then I thought it would but it was a GREAT day for me.
