I sure hope you get your stitchy bug back soon Wendy, and if I see it flying around I will whack it back your way. Just go with the flow and do what you can when you can and then suddenly one day it will all come right again. Keep visiting the forum for sure, it helps.

If easy-peasy knitting is what is needed at the moment, then do easy-peasy knitting. The stitching will still be there when your bug comes back, ready for you to pick it up with joy and without anxiety or pressure!

I still check in from time to time

I just rarely stitch anymore, and when I do it is my own models. All I do is design and stitch my own designs and I don't want to spam you guys with those lol.

But it is nice seeing familiar faces and names when I come back to check up! And I have a few of you as friends or pass you in the FB groups :)

I am much less sensitive about this and flood them with pictures of what I design and then stitch and no-one seems to mind :-) so do post yours - we'd love to see your creative output!

Sorry not been here for a bit, we've both been under the weather. DH has hospital appointments, tests & breathing classes re his emphysema & now his heart. Getting lot of help which is good. Appointments are up to Christmas so busy for a few weeks.

I made hash of the cottage chart I was stitching so not doing anything the moment. May start cottage again another time. Have a few small cards, free gifts with magazines, in my stash if I feel like doing some easy makes.

Hope everyone is well.

Good to hear from you and hope that things slow down a bit for you and your husband, though I am glad that the appointments are helping.
Starting back with a few small projects is often a good idea. Keep us updated on what is going on with you, please.

Thank you both. How quickly things can change as when DH saw Dr last Thursday he was surpsied things had not been sorted out, said all should have been done by mid October. Later we heard papers had got mislaid & reports taken twice as long to get back to surgery so Dr has made sure any cancelled appointments go to DH as he is now top of the list. Friday we had phone call to say he could have one check today as someone had cancelled, just taken another call to say appointment arranged for Friday. That eliminates 2 the week before Xmas.

Don't need to say that this kind of confusion is utterly unhelpful, but finding DH slotted into cancelled appointments quickly now at least must be a relief!

Thank you Serinde. Thankfully things now seem to be going smoother. Latest inhaler prescribed as it is supposed to be big improvement on previous ones. Hopefully all will settle into a regular pattern once next weeks appointments are finished.

I am a full-time student for now. Next semester I will be part-time. I am still trowling the forums; however, I lost my way in both of my major projects (Marilyn Monroe & In the Garrett). I seem to be off two vertical columns for the Marilyn pattern. I don't know how this happened. I am off horizontally on the dress for In the Garrett pattern.

Good to see all still on the forums.

"Ouch" how disheartening that is to get lost but now you have found it and can decide how to proceed - frog the offending bits or do a restart.

:x: all goes well with the 'fixing' and future stitching

Another period of absence, purely because of life, work and so on, but I do drop in from time to time!

Always glad to see and hear from you. Even when you are not "here" you are here. I never think of you as "gone".

<shuffles in>

Sorry, I've been AWOL I think for about seven years. Lovely to see lots of names I recognise still.

Basically I learned to weave and discovered Ravelry. And then I learned to crochet. And then I learned to spin. Plus adopting Cat 1 and after she died, Cat 2, means I have very little time for stitching. And three WIPs to finish!

Just picked up my Teresa Wentzler Fantasy Sampler this week in an effort to finish it (it's been in progress for nearly 20 years) and discovered an issue, thought who should I talk to about it and remembered you guys!

Thank you! Lovely to 'see' you again. Have made a new thread in SAL, can't quite get my iPad photos to upload the right way up but have stuck a link in for the TW so you can see it properly.
