Be Good! And you were!

Post by Serinde »

I'll be away until mid week on a 30th-wedding anniversary jolly, and probably not able to get a wifi signal, so I'm counting on you all to be as good as I would be... 8) I've left extra baking in the Stash & Grab, and plumped all the pillows in St Cross Stitchers.

Have a wonderful time. What a great event to be celebrating! :whoop: I'm sure everyone will be on their best behavior so Karen and I shouldn't have to use the whips to maintain order!

Congrats on your 30th wedding anniversary. Have lovely time & come back safe. Thank you for the eats & pillow plumping. Kind of you to do those things as you must have been very busy getting organised to go away. :toast:

Had a totally wonderful time! We were aware the weather was going to be, well, let's call it un-spring-like... but we saw the resident otter three times, so that kinda made up for the sleet and gales. And staying in a hotel, after years of self catering, is total bliss. We certainly were treated fabulously, so we'll just have to save up (again) for our 40th, I guess.

And while we were there, the owners were in Glasgow, receiving an industry award as the best small country hotel in Scotland, and were runners up in the most hospitable hotel category (to which we can attest they well deserved to win outright). As a result, all those of us still up when the news came through were treated to a glass of bubbly. :P

Glad you had a lovely time with the otters. I've seen otter tracks along riverbanks but not seen any. What a thrill to see them, something you'll never forget. I love sea otters, they are cute too. Glad you had safe journeys as well :)

I picked out my next project last week & funnily enough chose a pair of otters on a river bank. It is done in nice peaceful colours & easier than the cottages, felt my brain would need a rest after building the row of cottages  It is a DMC kit not the Derwentwater one.
