Belle & Boo finished!

Post by poppy »

Hello again :)
I haven't posted for some time as my DH has been in and out of hospital and I found crafting impossible. Not only because of time, but my mind could not settle on anything. Anyway, things are getting much better and here is my first completed cross stitch for a long time.
It is for my grown--up daughter. It just thought of her, as soon as I saw the design. I hope that you like it.

I am sorry to hear you your DH has been ill, but am glad that things are better now. There are times when even stitching can't take your mind away from worries.
I don't like this piece, I LOVE it!!! :applesauce: :applesauce: I'm sure your daughter was delighted with it. It made me smile :D .

Thank you for your kind words :)
My daughter has not seen it yet. It was an easy project with lots of "block colours".
My next project is on linen, a new one for me! I now understand why evenweave is called evenweave, no thick bits in the fabric
It is fun to try new things.

I just started a new project on linen and was searching this forum to see if anybody had any thoughts on it... I am not a fan! I wanted something 36 ct, stitching over 2, and found the piece of linen. But I won't use it again. I much prefer jobelan or evenweave! I don't like the thick bits and the whole thing feels a little uneven. It's going to turn out cute, but .... ugh!

I like having an easier project alongside a more difficult one. I try to do a bit of the "more challenging one" before stitching on the one I like.
I prefer evenweave too! What is the picture?

It's a frog hiding under a leaf in the rain. It's just a small thing, to fit into a mason jar lid (so, about 3x3 inches). Super cute... IF it turns out! :) I'll take a picture of it when I'm done!
