I'm sure it's been asked before and for that I apologise, but can anyone recommend an android cross stitch programme

Not ignoring your question, I'm just sorry to say that I cannot suggest any programs.
I restrict my cross stitch programs to Windows as the applications seem a lot less Mickey Mouse than the Android apps. Maybe in time good applications will come on stream, but I don't know of any yet. However, it may be worth taking a look at the write-ups here: http://www.mrxstitch.com/13-mobile-apps-for-stitchers/.
From looking a little at the capability of the apps, the write-up seems a fair, but possibly optimistic, assessment of what they can do. However, when you compare with the capability similar sorts of programs on a PC, it just shows the crippling limitations of most android devices and how an 'app' really is a cut-down 'application', pared down to do part of the job, not the whole thing. I fear it reinforces my view that Android devices tend to be consumers of content, not creators (unless it's video, photos or social media 'stuff').
