Somehow, though, living on an Island without running water for 9 months of the year doesn't appeal now in my Later Years!!

I'm not sure it would have appealed to me even in my Earlier Years   (I like my creature comforts, and how would I make my daily dozen cups of tea?)

I saw this. There's water, Mabel; you just have to collect it yourself. Don't think I'd like to be without electricity to stitch by of an evening, but imagine: puffin and seal counting during the day, and stitching all evening. Yeah, I could have done this. *sigh*

When I was much younger that would have sounded appealing. Maybe. I have to admit that I like some basic creature comforts and that sounds like a cold 9 months. But what fun with all those amazing animals!

What a shame you didn't see something like this being offered when you were younger. Guess you will just have to keep stitching those lovely birds.

You have to go get your own water? Umm, no thanks...I want a faucet or a magic thing in my fridge door that produce water at my command. :-)

 Yes but then you'd be missing out on the pleasures of air-drying young seagulls, wearing a hard hat to fend off the sharp beaks of the Terns and being able to plunge your arm up to the armpit down a smelly burrow to extract a Puffin to weigh and ring it! @rotfl: @rotfl:

?Bliss???!!!

At this precise moment, it seems like an utterly perfect job.
