Happy Hardanger Morning!

Post by wendywombat »

I went to the little craft club this morning armed with Hardanger fabric and threads...plus some very simple patterns Very Kindly supplied by Our Very Own Mabel (thank you, Mabel)

I had offered a couple of weeks ago to do a simple Hardanger workshop as several of the members expressed an interest. After a 'chat' with Mabel and permission to use some her simple patterns it all went ahead this morning. (I didn't take any patterns other than the permitted simple ones, but I had samples of what could be achieved using white on white and the same patterns done in coloured thread )

2 of the group sat with me to learn. I had hoped for a few more but as it turned out it worked well. The rest of the group had a good look at all the stitched stuff that I'd done...including the SotW SAL pieces.
We completed a couple of examples and they took the patterns and some thread away to try more.

I also had a sample ready for the Cutting  and although they didn't attempt this both want to do more.
So we'll have to arrange this for another day as there are other crafts to share and learn.

Good Fun eh?
