I've said to my Mum that I will have to put her hen cross stitch on hold. My cousin (who has two Border Collies) has been waiting on me to stitch him one for about 3 years and when he saw the duck on the wall made some comment like 'Am I ever going to get my collie?'. So, to keep him happy, I messaged him on Facebook and he chose this one so this will be my project over the next few weeks/months

That design is so realistic it looks almost like a photo. I will be pulling up the virtual sofa of watch this one take shape under your needle.

The 25 threads I ordered at the weekend arrived this morning so I've spent all of this evening sorting them out on to their bobbins :)

I found the cutest little designs through a FB post yesterday. They're a couple of designers from Russia & I'm in love with almost every single pattern they have:

http://sa-pattern.com/" target="_blank

The bunnies are the cutest things I've ever seen. I also got the "Apple Tea" pattern. I bought 3, and they were emailed to me right away, but now I want about 3 more!! I get paid tomorrow. I might just have to do it. I tried to purchase them on the sly from my husband... but because I was trying to purchase something from Russia, my bank flagged it & called my husband (his # is the main one on the account) to say possible fraud, so I had to come clean.

:D Look what the postie bought me this morning. A late birthday present from Lyudmilla aka polydodanka.

I just love the lovely cute stitching she has done for me and I will get it into a small frame as soon as I find one.url=https://postimg.org/image/wwsk1cwe5/][img]https://s6.postimg.org/wwsk1cwe5 It is a real happy little design. There are also lots of postcards of Keiv and the Ukraine as well as a most gorgeous birthday card plus a note card too. I am thoroughly spoilt - and I love it all.
It was post in Kiev back in 22 June, so 1 day less than 8 weeks to get here but it made it finally.

Also into todays mail was my fabric for the Christmas Stocking, plus my fabric from PTP Christmas in July sale 2 small piece Ancient an unusual sort of fawny brown and Vespers - a soft green. Plus my daughter had a parcel too containing extra wool for something she is knitting- and it is the same dye lot too.

I love all the colours of your new thread, Nicola.

Sally, what a lovely parcel from Lyudilla! You can visit Keiv from the comfort of your sofa. How amazing, it looks!
The cute little bear, bringing you cake and strawberries is delightful. Very thoughtful presents.

I stopped by the thrift store after my massage to help with lingering issues from Sciatica, and found these! My first piece of Lugana evenweave for about 3 dollars less than you'd find on 123stitch, so I feel pretty pleased (and look, no shipping cost either!). I didn't really need Christmas books, but since they were there, why not? I'm more interested in the Greetings and the Cross Stitch Plus books!
