Uhhhhh. I'm 30 min from Cleveland.... Go Indians!!!

But really, I'm a cross stitcher first, sports fan second, so of course if the Cubs win I'll be happy for you. ;)

But as the World Series hasn't started yet.... GO INDIANS lol :whoop:

Baseball?
Like softball?

Oh. Yes I remember now. The World Series of North America (or have the Toronto Blue Jays been chucked out for daring to be a winning non-US team? It looked as if might happen last time I heard of this 'World Series' in 1987).
Good luck to the Cubs in their bid for world domination of.. Rounders, was it? I always cheer the underdog.

I wonder if I should start cheering the England cricket team after their hugely unlikely win. Not sure if I can manage more than 2 cheers for their performance.

Regards

Richard.

Well we are cheering for Cal Crutchlow :whoop: :whoop: British rider from Coventry.
He's just won the Australian Moto GP. :applesauce: First Brit to win there and only the 2nd Brit to win two GPS in a year since Barry Sheene. Amazing race especially as the conditions on Phillip Island have been dreadful this weekend.

I used to cheer Shaky Byrne - the only famous person ever to come from the town I live near. However since MotoGP has migrated onto one of the minor channels I tend to miss it, and have completely lost track of the championship.

Well done to Cal Crutchlow though.

Richard.

I was SO happy to see the Cubbies win - I've always liked them and have always hated the Dodgers. (The Angels are my #1 team and the Rockies my #2 - sad, sad season for me.) I also like the Indians - that started because for awhile, we (the Angels) let a lot of talented players go to the Indians - and my daughter-in-law is from Ohio, which is a definite plus on the Indians side. But I like the Cubs because Maddon used to be with the Angels and he's a class act.

So, I think I'll be good with either team winning because I just cant decide who I want. (I'm having the same decision-reaching problem with one of the races on my voting ballot - it's ready to be mailed, as soon as I make that one last decision.)

I just read this - some good points here:
