Help!

Hi! I'm new which means I could be in the wrong place for my question. Please redirect if that's the case!

I am working on an English band sampler found in Fine Lines/Fall 1998. I am struggling with a few of the stitches - reversible and diagonal - even with the diagrams showing how to work them. Is anyone familiar with this particular pattern and willing to offer help?

Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! I'm not familiar with the design you are stitching, but have done some band samplers and find them lots of fun and often a challenge. I found this tutorial from Mary Corbet's Needle 'N Thread for the diagonal stitch (which looks very interesting). Doing a search on the reversible stitch brought up what looked like several different types of stitches so I'd suggest you try that. Also, YouTube can be a great resourse as there are many video tutorials there. If someone on the forum knows this stitches, I'm sure they will come to your aid.
