Starting French Knots

Post by LuckyDice »

This is the first time I'm going to attempt a French knot, and I was just wondering if you can just leave the end of the thread on the back or if you need to place it under previously done stitches. Thanks for any help.

Firstly, welcome. :!:
Secondly, I would always anchor a stitch. Pesky French knots always seem to come undone  so don't give them any excuse!

Luckydice, hi and welcome first of all. Now to your question, have attached a link to a site that shows you how to do french knots. Instructions shown as a video. Have seen several sites giving instructions on how to do a french knot. After watching the video finally mastered french knots after years of trying. Think it mihgt have been something to do with being able to see someone doing it in real time rather than just following written instructions and diagrams
