Another site for conversions which allows you to convert between DMC, Anchor and J & P Coats but also kit makers Bucilla and Dimensions.

www.cyberstitchers.com

This one gives conversions between DMC, Anchor and Maderia

Hope this helps.

So does New Stitches, although they ask you to join their (free) forum. www.newstitches.com/index.html

Thanks for the sites for conversion charts. :) I find that if you are going to use the different threads make sure you don't use the same color as the shades are slightly different between them. I found that Out on a project that I did awhile ago. I now have a UFO and it may not get finished because of that. So make sure that you check the colors carefully to make sure they match.

The New Stitches conversion charts also have a star system to indicate whether the match is a good one or not. More stars, better match.

Ive just found this conversion chart, it convert the dmc and anchor, but also has a conversion to and from venus threads. Personally Ive never heard of or used venus, but thought maybe it might help out someone here.

Venus is a cheap brand which matches DMC colours.

Unless Venus threads have changed, they are cheap for a reason. Beware the reds.

I'm using this site when I need converting colours.

http://cf.uol.com.br/agulhadeouro/tabela/index.cfm

It's Spanish but you've just to put in the number and you can easily convert from DMC to Anchor and the other way round.

You can also find freebies.
