Where to buy small pieces of test fabric in UK?

Post by JoannaG »

I'm looking into exploring other fabrics and counts besides Aida. I read the various posts explaining the difference between the various materials and would like to try some of them.

Is it possible to buy a small piece of fabric/offcut of the different types so as to avoid buying large pieces that will 'never' get used?
I'm really hoping there is a fabric sampler kit or something... I saw an link on one of the older posts mentioning something like this (just pay postage!) but that online shop is now closed.

Or will I just have to buy the smallest 'large' size I can find? £9 each from sew and so.

Any suggestions?

I'm based in the UK and would be looking to buy online.
