Hello, a new member just signed in. I'm Delyn (Del) & live in Powys. Been looking on here for a long time. Thought about joining before but never got round to it.

Do kits rather than charts but do have a small number tucked away. Done Disney animals, cats, butterflies & other things which appeal to me. Like penguins & snowmen at Christmas but not done any this year. Recently started Flowery Bicycle DMC kit but found I didn't really like it once I started so am going to do butterfly one instead, that's by dimensions. Had a break & got Xmas cards & gifts sorted so hope to get on better with this next kit.

Del

What did you not like about the Flowery Bicycle?
Looking forward to your posts and may be, see the start of your new butterfly project. We all used to post photos using photobucket but it went all commercial, so now we like to use PostImage to post our photos. It is easy to use.

You said that you have stitched Disney animals. I stitched Bambi once, I found it quite tricky, especially his thin little legs! :D

thank you for kind messages.

Also for photo link.

Had problems with Bambi too - backstitching legs! Once started DMC bike realised it had thin bits too. Just didn't feel right as I went along. Realise if I do not really love something won't even start it. Can always do with spare fabric & threads. Was one I had in stash - my taste must have changed over time. Do not know how long had it.

Thank you for m ore messages.

This place like global village, extended family, whichever you prefer, Anyone & everyone, any age, can join = nothing too much trouble, You help people with advice &/or encouragement = craft, health or personal matters. someone listens when person in times of severe stress needs to say a lot. No one minds = it must help those who unburden their selves.

Almost joined a few times = decided this week WOULD definitely go ahead. May not be able to help on crafts but can lend an ear & give encouragement when necessary. Recently bought Donna Kooler seasons x st book. Few charts I would like to do sometime in future, might need help with them so only right I make contribution beforehand.

From ex lurker

Hello and welcome to the Forum from the capital of Ukraine.
I also have Donna Kooler's "Seasons in Cross-Stitch" book. I stitched "Cats, Books and Candle"(twice) and Par Excellence" by Nancy Rossi from it. The charts are great, pure pleasure to stitch and the results are stunning.

Thank you. I like snowmen, & the cat one = you are very good to do it twice!

Also like chrysanthemum one. Mostly bought mum that yellow shade - sometimes brighter yellow, mauve or what my boys called 'rusty ones', the deeper colour ones! Always think of my mum when I see those flowers.
