Hello I'm new

Post by Pete&Dawn28 »

Hi everyone i have recently got back into cross stitch with the help from my Girlfriend, shes way more better then me as I've not done it since i was very young.

What are we currently working on ? Well Dawn is doing a picture of a heart which has a couple inside it and love through the middle i think, I'm just slowly moving up the ladder, I'm working on a basic pattern of some beach huts and a few birds in the sky. I hope to do Bookmarks, and bigger pictures like characters from games or maps from games etc but that wont be any time soon until I've gotten more advanced at it.

Best Regards

Pete&Dawn

 Hi Pete and Hi Dawn and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! Glad to hear that you are both stitching and hope that you will post pictures of your work for us to see. We love pictures. Will you both be posting? That's fine. We've had a few couples over the years, though I don't think any have been active in a long time (Sorry if I have forgotten any that I shouldn't have). Looking forward to getting to know you.

Hello & welcome from Kent.

I (Richard) do the stitching here. I restarted in 2011 after 40 years, having learnt how to cross stitch at age 6 in school.
The sort of things I now do, as a result of severe incitement on this forum, are conversions of photos or paintings. Rarely less than 110 colours, and my last 3 projects have all included blended colours. My last 4 projects have all been converted from digital images using conversion software I wrote myself. I hope to finish my current projects (photo of my wifes favourite cat, Gryff, in the snow & a Luis Royo image) in 2020.
My wife does NOT cross stitch. Or do any sewing for that matter.

Regards

Richard.
