Hi I'm new!

Post by RootyTooty »

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum. I just started cross stitching about 2 months ago. I learned when I was in high school then didn't continue until recently. I found I really enjoy it and I'm excited to learn more about it.

Around December I made four cross stitch ornaments for family memebers. A snowflake, a penguin, a Christmas pikachu, and a weeping angel from Dr. Who. Now I'm working on making a Monster High creation, I'm making the logo now and then I plan to make some of the characters. Not sure if I want to frame them or make it into a quilt.

Hello and welcome.

I like the sound of your weeping angel ornament. Do you have a picture of it?

Sadly I didn't take a picture of the weeping angel. I have learned my lesson and will take pictures of my future projects!

Ooooh, the weeping angel. I'd love to stitch up one of those and use it to somehow scare my teenage son. lol I remember the 1st time he saw those guys he was hiding behind the couch! Now they don't bother him but I'm sure I could come up with some way to scare him. Use it like an elf-on-the-shelf or something. Hmmmm.

Welcome! I'm new to this forum, too... watch out! It's addicting and you'll soon find yourself obsessed. I can barely get through a workday without fantasizing about what I'm working on at home, pinning ideas from other websites, buying new patterns that I may or may not ever start, etc. Have fun!

I know! My kids already have plans of what they want me to make them, lol. I like to use a picture to cross stitch pattern converter I found online. So I have lots of Pokemon, Sailor Moon, and Super Heroes in my future cross stitching.
