Not sure if i should class myself as a newbie?!

Post by nettie »

Hi

So I thought I would start here. I am an old member that has been absent for some years. I last logged in almost 3 years ago but I think I just lurked instead of really being active. In fact I would say it has been nearer 7 years since I was active in here. Si I thought I would re-introduce myself!

I am 37 and I love cross stitch and reading. Unfortunately I have 98% lost my stitching bug but I really want it back! I thought maybe logging back into the forum and trying to be active again might inspire me. I just cannot seem to get the knack of picking up my stitching often. If I do pick it up I will sit at it long enough to make progress but I never seem to be able to make it a habit. All encouragemtn will be gratefully received.

I have three cats all 6 years old as they came from the same litter. The female and one of the males quite regularly like to argue about who is top cat and my other boy just lets them bully him and comes to me for cuddles instead. He is also staring at me right now trying to figure out what this machine is on my knees and why am I not asleep as it is past my bedtime!

Anyway I think I am a little off topic there so hi again everyone I am off to see what I have been missing!

Hi Squirrel,

I have missed this forum and did think about it often! Trying to catch up but 50 pages of new posts I don't think I will manage that so will have to catch up as I go!

 Welcome back! I not only remember you but I remember your avatar (unless it is a new one? and I remember someone else's tiger?). Commenting on other's stitching should give that old stitching bug a push or two. We will keep :poke: him, until he gets tired of being a party pooper and joins in the fun! Glad to see you again. Take your time catching up. A lot has changed, but the basic of it all is the same as ever, love of stitching and sharing that with each other!

Yes it is the same avatar and I am still in love with tigers It is very late here so will not pick up the stitching tonight but seeing all the activity on here is making me think about all the projects I have and which ones I can do though I do have at least ne project that should have been finished 8 months ago that is at the top of the pile!

Welcome back. Maybe start with a smallish project so as not to shock Mr. Stitchy Bug too much. :-) When I saw you are in Wellington, I thought oh boy, we can get together for stitching dates...then I finished reading and your Wellington is across the pond, not up the interstate.

We will all encourage you as you back into stitching...and do share pictures.

Your kitties sound sweet, by the way.

Hi Allyn, hi Debby,

Debby yes it is very confusing the place names at times I see American towns and think that they are the UK and then read on and realise! Our an editors were not very imaginative when naming new settlements in countries they invaded!

The cats are being little darlings right now but that's because they want food they ha e another 6 hours to wait yet so bad tempers are afoot from them all!

Many happy returns...!

Long time since I knew Taunton well, and Wellington is just down the road.

Have fun here,

Regards,

Richard

Hi Richard that is exactly where I am. Wellington born and bred but am now well past the age I long to escape and now appreciate the little town I live in.

Wendy whereabouts did you live? I am the same tiger from Somerset you used to see on here!

Next stop I need to restart my photobucket account so I can start posting pictures again! I have a wip I really need to get a move on with as I would like to finish by Christmas.

Hi to everyone else.
