I had a real surprise in the post yesterday (sorry, I couldn't get on here earlier to tell you then, but I had no 'me time' at all yesterday :x ). I got a lovely and very unexpected present from Es (Bert) - the 'All Our Yesterdays Cross Stitch Collection' book. You can see this lovely book here. Thank you so much Es, it is so much appreciated and I must say I feel a little overwhelmed at how generous people have been on this forum.

Now I have to get embarrassed, because I also got another parcel in the post too yesterday - and couldn't believe it when I opened it and it seemed to be my original stashmas present!!!!

Now I feel as if I shouldn't have all these other lovely things

What I would like to do, is wait and see if Caz does get her stashmas gift after all. I've been very disappointed to read today that she still haven't received this, after all this time and all the work she put into organising stashmas:x :x If it hasn't come by Friday, I'd like to send her my original stashmas present. And if Caz's present dos turn up, I'd like to send it to Dawn instead as she's bought presents for me and Caz and organised stashmas and we love her very much    :D :D :D

And this way I get to keep everything all you lovely people have specially sent out to me and not feel bad about it :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

Dawn the postmark is 13th Jan and I got it yesterday (19th ). However, the address on it was wrong, so that might be why it took nearly a week to get to me?

The reason I asked is because I was orginally told that the gift had been posted the just before christmas :x :x But yeah the wrong address would explain why it took even longer.

I've never used 18 count before - would people suggest using 1 thread or 2?

I need to find something really special to stitch with the hand-dyed fabric and hand-dyed threads...! My head may explode with gratitude for the lovely nature of people on here.

Lovely threads and some bobbins and stickernumbers! Aida came at a perfect time, was going to stitch the boyfriend something for valentines day! Made my trip to the craft store short only to get a few threads I didnt have.

ooooh, that's lovely! *pet pet pet*

On 18ct I use 1 strand for a delicate finish, or 2 for better coverage and bolder colours.
