ATC Round 4-Happy October!

Post by lacemaker2004 »

Okay Folks, It's time for Round 4. Coffee is having a bit of a time with trying to move and all that entails, so I said I would take over for this round. The topic is October in your area and I'm going to say the due date is October 1st. I think we had some folks (including me) that had trouble with early September.

Here's the listing, remember to send to the person following you on the list:
1. wendy
2. mauveme
3. benceagi
4. mags
5. mandyrob
6. Angel
7. Jess03
8. lacemaker2004 (Alyson)
9. Skattiekat (Mary)
10. Mabel Figworthy
11. Threadbear
12. Jilly
13. Jenny M

For those new to the ATC the instructions are posted on a sticky at the beginning of the General category. Before you send your project off, don't forget to post a picture in the Community Gallery so everyone can enjoy it.

Maybe it would be nice to also post a bit of something about October in your area. What's going on, what makes it a special time for you? What do we think?

Did mine today, yeah!!.. October in SouthernOntario is so beautiful. I live on the Niagara Escarpment. LOTS of trees. The colour show is amazing. Yellows Oranges Reds----so beautiful. The view from my balcony is awash with trees. It is also a time for Fall Fairs From the middle of Sept till the end of October. We allso have our Thanksgiving in October (13th this year) It has got to be my fav time of the year.

Autumn is beautiful in Budapest, too, especially in the Buda Hills. It is mostly associated with fruits (apples, grapes and plums), chesnut (for me - childhood memories) and a lot of rain. But it can still be quite hot during the day. Mornings and evenings are cold though (you can feel it a little even now). I don't like autumn very much, but there is one good thing in it: my birthday

Autumn to me is colour! Reds, golds, oranges, crisp blue skies still some green in the trees, lots of woody browns, the blacks and reds of berries... Beautiful colours.

Guys - this month's turning out busier than I thought it would. Is it too late to drop out of this? I have no guarantees I will be able to finish.

Hope it doesn't mess too much up!

Don't stress ! Would it help if we extended the deadline (do we have a deadline?) ?

My first thought was drop me too as I am mandy's recipient (designed but haven't started yet) and I have already sent to Angel, but that leaves Agi sending again to Angel.

Thoughts anyone :?:

I think if I remember rightly, the deadline was 1st October, but maybe we could extend to November?
That would be fine with me.

Sometime in November suit everyone?

*panics as she sees all those quick stitchers who have already finished theirs*

Eek! I haven't even got a design yet... 1st October is still ok for me though, it's another 3 weeks so I should be all right *crosses fingers*

Oh I'd hate for ya'll to extend just for me! I've just not even started and next week is going to be sucked up with me helping my sister with her new baby. And then I have a few work things going on that I need to take care of, but that are time consuming.

I'll go ahead and try to get things going...just starting to feel stressed and busy. I haven't even begun my next big CS!

Nooo, I'm sure everyone would be happy to extend  . Don't forget we do these as a 'stress free' fun thing.

Lets see what everyone thinks ... :thinks:

Aww threadbear, you're so sweet. I tell ya what - let me just design it this week and maybe next week at my sister's, in the evenings when everyone's gone to bed, I can get some good work on it done. If I can, I should meet the deadline ok. And if not, if Angel would be ok with it coming maybe just a week or late...?

But no, don't extend on my account! My first impulse was to pull out, but I do so love autumn (my favorite time of the year) and I love sending/receiving these things. I'll make it work!

Don't worry about it. Make the design very small   - this is what I like in it so much - it can be whatever you like.

I think this is basically a "go with the flow" kind of exchange. Whatever works is good with us. Right ladies?? :D :D

Oh Mandy, please don't stress. I was there for the 2nd ATC too and got it out quicker than I thought.

Angel, I received Mandy's last time and the wait is more than worth it!
