Sorry I've been "off the grid" for a bit. Ornament is complete, just waiting to get to the Post office. I'm off work this Friday Nov 6th so I plan to take it then!! Happy stitching everyone!

Mine will be mailed at the end of next week. :) I've changed my mind so many times, I finally settled on a design to stitch (after 4 other ideas)

I know the feeling. I have three on the go and will have to soon decide which one to finish up on time. Why do we do these things to ourselves?

I waited to the last minute for a charm to attach to my ornament. Not in yet, but I will wait no longer than this weekend. The ornament will be in the mail on Monday for sure.

Clearly I have done something wrong while trying to edit previous post to say that my ornament has finally started its trek to the US. Perhaps I am getting too old for these things!

My ornament will be on its way to Canada tomorrow. I'm so sorry, I got so busy with setting up a caregiver for my mom, it totally slipped out of my head when to mail it. :(

You're right. I gave myself the deadline for international, so I knew I had it done.

See, this is what happens when I don't get sleep. :(

Pampam, it'll be on its way asap!

I'm doing a happy happy happy dance!! My ornament from Maria arrived and it is sooooo fabulous!!!!

She explained that she was born in the USSR when religous symbols were forbidden, so her memories of the season included cards with birds. How perfect is this, then?

Image

And the back of the ornament reads "Happy New Year" in Russian - again, perfect!!! I love things Russian!!!!! I'm pretty sure this ornament will be on display way after Christmas!!

Image

And she also included a beautiful piece of fabric - I don't know what it is but I know I love it!! And a beautiful handmade bracelet!

Image

Am I gushing? I'm just giddy with these gifts. Thank you soooooooooo sooooooooo much!!!!

P.S. The tassel was wrapped in a piece of heavy paper - Jackson (the cat) wants to thank you for that. It's his new favorite toy.

At last! After almost than a month in mail, the ornament finally got to its destination :))

You are welcome, Debby, I'm very glad that you like it! Say hello to Jackson from his Moscow counterpart Pryanik, who took a great interest in every single piece of the package.
